King's Landing

What happens here

1. S1E1 The king's party rides north to make Eddard Stark the Hand of the King.
2. S1E2 Ned takes both daughters south. Neither of them sees Winterfell again for years.
3. S1E3 Ned takes the Hand's chair and finds the crown six million in debt, most of it to Tywin Lannister.
4. S1E4 Every one of Robert's bastards has black hair. Ned finds the armourer's boy and starts counting.
5. S1E5 Arya chases a cat into the cellars, hides in Balerion's skull and hears two men plan a war.
6. S1E5 Jaime kills Ned's guard in the street over Tyrion's arrest and leaves the capital with Ned's leg broken.
7. S1E7 Robert is gored on a hunt with wine Cersei made sure he had, and names Ned Protector of the Realm.
8. S1E7 Littlefinger turns the City Watch and Ned is taken in the throne room he had just claimed.
9. S1E8 Syrio Forel holds a door with a wooden sword so Arya can run. The series never shows the end of that fight.
10. S1E9 Ned confesses to treason to save his daughters and Joffrey has him beheaded anyway.
11. S1E10 Yoren cuts Arya's hair, calls her a boy and puts her in a cart of Night's Watch recruits going north.
12. S2E1 The gold cloaks kill Robert's bastards in the streets. Gendry is already on the kingsroad.
13. S2E2 Tyrion sends the commander of the City Watch to the Wall and starts taking the small council apart.
14. S2E6 A starving crowd tears the High Septon apart. The Hound carries Sansa out of the riot.
15. S2E8 Stannis puts two hundred ships into the bay and sails for the capital.
16. S2E9 A single wildfire ship takes half of Stannis's fleet off the water. Tyrion leads a sortie through the mud gate and Tywin and the Tyrells arrive behind Stannis at dawn.
17. S2E9 Davos loses his son Matthos and the fleet in the same explosion and washes up on a rock.
18. S3E6 Littlefinger explains the ladder. Sansa's betrothal to Loras dies the same afternoon.
19. S3E8 Tyrion and Sansa are married in front of a court that finds it funny. Joffrey takes the stool away at the bedding.
20. S3E10 Tywin tells his grandson that a king who has to say he is king is no king, and sends him to bed without supper.
